Students helping students
Who are we ?
ESN Toulouse is one of the 33 local sections of ESN France, based in Toulouse in the Haute-Garonne region in the southwest of France.
The major objective of ESN Toulouse is to facilitate the integration of international students in Toulouse through the organisation of events throughout the year, and especially at the beginning of each semester.
ESN Toulouse has three main missions:
– Welcoming international students
– Supporting the integration of international students during Erasmus and other exchange programs
– Promoting international mobility
We work every day to make mobility open to everyone, inclusive, high-quality and valued.
And of course, to introduce our amazing mascot Chocolatix !
Our Values
These are our values:
- Intercultural Encounters and Exchanges:
ESN fosters connections between young people from all backgrounds by creating spaces that encourage exchange and dialogue. This allows every young person to discover new practices and ways of life while sharing their own culture, enriching their personal journey.
- Solidarity and Peer Support:
At ESN, we aim to inspire young people to engage with their communities — building global awareness and contributing to a more connected and sustainable
world.
- Respect and Openess & Youth Civic Engagement:
We believe that cultural diversity is a strength, one that builds social cohesion and brings people together across the world.
ESN embraces all young people to promote inclusivity.
Through peer-to-peer action, we complement the work of educators and youth organizations.
ABOUT ESN TOULOUSE AND OUR MISSIONS
Our Toulouse section has always been driven by the motto “students helping students”, and today it stands as one of the largest associations in the ESN France network, thanks to our motivated and committed volunteers.
Thanks to their dedication, we’ve been able to organize numerous social, cultural, gastronomic, sports, and solidarity events to welcome international students.
Since its creation, ESN Toulouse has made it its mission to support the integration of international students into the “Ville Rose,” while also tackling the social isolation many of them face, whether due to language barriers, unfamiliarity with the French university system, or a lack of cultural reference points.
To achieve this, we’ve launched several initiatives such as the Buddy System, a valuable tool designed to support international students.
We believe that diversity is a strength to be celebrated, as it helps build social bonds and a sense of belonging.
Solidarity, mutual support, and peer-to-peer action are, in our view, essential and complementary to the work of educational and youth organizations, fostering civic awareness and encouraging young people to engage in their communities.
